You can display and change the properties of any component in "Component" view. This enables you to customize the components built into "Component" view, so that 8Legs is customized to your work environment.
There are presently four types of components for which you can view properties: folders, HTML Snippets, Images, and Java Applets.
To display the properties for an Image component in your "Component" view, do the following:
1. Click the name of an Image component in the "Component" view.
2. Click your right mouse button in the "Component" view, and then the "Properties" menu.
3. 8Legs displays the following window:
*Notice that this window is identical to the "Add Image Component" window.
The "Properties" list displays the name and value of all properties associated with an Image.
The "Value" field enables you to enter or modify a property value.
This field provides a short description of the selected property in the "Properties" list.
The "Show All" button enables you to toggle the list of "Properties" between only those that are required, and all properties associated with an Image.
4. You can display the value of any property by selecting its name in the "Properties" list. The value of the property is displayed in the "Value" field.
5. Enter a new value for a property by changing the text in the "Value" field.
6. Click the "OK" button if you want to save your changes. Click the "Cancel" button to exit the window without saving changes.
